(Y/N) was standing on the tall roof of her house. She was scraping the ice and thick amounts of snow from the multi-colored shingles. She silently cursed herself whenever she stumbled. She hated winter with a strong passion. The snow was unbearably thick and cold, and she hated shoveling the heavy white stuff. The other countries didn't like to help either. She was typically left alone to do the job. Fortunately, someone had come over today - and that meant they would be forced to help.
Just as one of the many countries approached the house, she leaped down from the roof - landing in the deep snow. (Y/N) climbed out from the bank, dusting all the white stuff off. Russia was standing in the mouth of the driveway, holding a few sunflowers in his left hand. She stumbled forward, half-limping from previously falling from the roof. Russia gave her a gentle smile, waving at her. She wrapped her arms around her friend's chest (it was as tall as she could reach).
Russia's half hugged her as well, smiling even more brightly. He placed the sunflowers in her hand, but not before smacking her gently over the head with them. She chuckled, reaching up and poking his nose. Again, she couldn't help but feel short.
"Tall," (Y/N) pouted, "You're too tall, Ivan. I think you either need to shrink whenever you're around me, or you have to buy me a ten inch snow boot, only sayin'."
Russia patted her head, this time laughing at her, "I suppose I have to, da?" he said, "but it's impossible, so you'll just have to grow!"
(Y/N) grew tired of all the small talk, especially because you had the whole roof and driveway to shovel still, "So, Ivan, have you come here to graciously help me shovel?" she asked, "Or is little fragile me going to do it all by myself again?"
He rubbed the back of his head, "Aah, that's why you invited me over, da?" he laughed, "Well..." his face darkened, "I suppose I can help you for a few minutes, if you become one, da?"
Her face went red in itself. She gently smacked her friend's arm, handing him a shovel, "Maybe if you say it in a nicer way, 'kay?" she said, "Now get to work before I decide to make this shovel one with Russia's face, da?"
He took it from her hands, his smile widening, "Fine, you work on the roof and I'll work on the driveway," his dark aura intensified, "Then, we'll have lunch, da?"
(Y/N) waved him off, climbing back up the ladder to the roof. She began to shovel the snow and ice once more, hoping this would be the last time. She was already tired, and with Russia here, she wasn't sure she wanted to waste one of her only free days shoveling when she could be spending time with her human and country friends alike. After a few more minutes of pushing the snow off the shingles, she peered over the edge. Russia was standing right underneath her, looking at her small greenhouse.
She smiled evilly, pushing a large chunk of snow over the edge. Just like that, the snow avalanche covered Russia completely - even the top of his head! Of course, the possibilities of what Russia could do to her didn't occur until afterwards. Her face went white at the thought of Russia possibly taking over her country, or even smacking her with his faucet.
"That wasn't very funny, da?" Russia unburied his head, looking up, "Actually, this snow is really cold." After another moment, he said, "I suppose we should have lunch now."
(Y/N) straightened, readying to climb down the ladder. However, she stood up much too quick. She slipped on some of the ice, plummeting toward the ground. She flailed slightly just as Russia caught her in his arms. He hesitated slightly with (Y/N) in his arms. Both of their faces were bright red at this, but Russia's was even more so.
"A-are you okay?" he asked quietly, "Did I hurt you?"
She shook her head, "N-no, I'm sorry for dumping snow on you..." she said, "I was just fooling around...and I didn't mean to make you cold. L-let's go make lunch now, huh?"
Russia placed (Y/N) on the ground, moving the (h/c) locks from her face. He gently kissed her forehead before walking toward the front door of (Y/N)'s house. She remained there for a moment, her face bright red. Finally, she shook her head. (Y/N) ran toward her front door as well, opening it for the Russian man.
"How's chicken soup?"

Winter Wonderland (Russia x Reader)
Until he met you, Ivan hadn't known that he was capable of appreciating winter.
Ever since his early years, winter was something Ivan had never welcomed, despite that his birthday was during the season. Having grown up fighting for his survival and surrounded by blanched fields and grey skies, he had ended up disliking the white drifts of snow and the blizzards that drove away the precious sunlight, often dreaming of being somewhere else with eternal sunshine and warm summer, somewhere the sunflowers he liked so much could grow. The merciless Russian winter was the complete opposite of his ideals; frigid temperatures turned his homeland blea
